New Release |
To kick off the summer, our previous release "Prologuing the Inevitable" brought us a single confident step away from techno. Now, to book-end the summertime, we are proud to present Morgan Packard's "Frozen." Stepping even further away from the dancefloor, and deeper into your earphones (or your late night home stereo), these are purely beautiful electronic music tracks. No genre here... as they say in Uptown Top Ranking, "no pop no style." But free of the conventions of style, these tracks are free to inhabit their own space. A new place to visit momentarily. Morgan's original track is evidence of the same subtle melodicism heard in his early work on the much respected Microcosm Music label. For the remix, Segeke, a tech house producer from Osaka, steps up with his own unique voice and approach. Trainspotters will recognize his uniquely personal, non-dancefloor style from releases on his own label Geometric Deck. |
Ezekiel Honig’s late 2008 release “Surfaces of a Broken Marching Band” from his own label Anticipate was one of the best full length electronic albums last year according to respected sources like Resident Advisor. Continuing Konque’s dedication to unique and innovative electronic music, Ezekiel Honig’s "Prologuing the Inevitable" EP rolls in, just in time for relaxing summer evenings outside with some speakers and a bottle of wine. This is a beautiful release by a contemporary NYC master of electronic music, and we are thrilled to bring it to you. Two lovely long dreamy tracks by Ezekiel plus a mysterious Jeep Beats remix by David Last. |
